Voucher and car rental reservation terms
These General Terms and Conditions, together with the booking details and the rental voucher sent to the customer, constitute the terms of the agreement between the customer and AI Booking Travel Ltd. regarding the booking of car rental services worldwide via the Company’s website and services.
Placing a booking through the website or via the Company’s representatives constitutes full confirmation and acceptance of all the terms and conditions detailed in this document.
1. Nature of the Service
AI Booking Travel acts as an intermediary for vehicle bookings with rental companies and suppliers worldwide.
The company does not operate a fleet of vehicles and is not the actual rental provider; rather, it serves as a liaison between the customer and the rental supplier.
Responsibility for the provision of the vehicle, its condition, rental terms, insurance coverage, operational procedures, and the actual rental conditions lies with the rental supplier and is subject to their specific terms.
Fines, traffic tickets, road tolls, parking charges, towing fees, or any other costs associated with the use of the vehicle are the responsibility of the primary driver.
In certain instances, charges may be applied directly by the rental company—using the credit card provided as a deposit or security guarantee at the time of vehicle pickup—and/or by local authorities or relevant enforcement agencies. Such charges may include additional processing, collection, or administrative fees, in accordance with the policies of the rental supplier and the local authorities.
2. The Voucher and the Reservation
Upon completion of the booking and confirmation of payment, a rental voucher containing the key booking details will be sent to the customer.
The customer must review the booking details immediately upon receipt of the voucher and notify the company as soon as possible in the event of any error, discrepancy, or inaccuracy.
The voucher is personal and may not be transferred or assigned to any other party.
3. Pickup Requirements
Upon picking up the vehicle, the main driver and any additional drivers are required to present:
- Rental voucher
- A valid physical Israeli driver's license (plastic card)
- A valid International Driving Permit (IDP)
- A valid passport
- A physical international credit card in the name of the main driver, with a sufficient credit limit
- Any additional documentation required by the rental provider
Failure to present the required documents or to meet the rental provider's terms may result in a refusal to release the vehicle, cancellation of the booking, and the imposition of cancellation or no-show fees, in accordance with the booking terms.
4. Credit Card and Deposit
The rental provider may place a hold on the customer's credit limit or collect a security deposit, in accordance with their policy.
The amount of the deposit, the conditions for its release, and the types of accepted credit cards are determined solely by the rental provider.
It is the customer's responsibility to verify in advance that they have a sufficient credit limit and an appropriate credit card that meets the rental provider's requirements.
The customer must know the PIN for their credit card, as it will be required to process the security deposit at the rental location.
5. Car Group
The car shown on the website, in photographs, or on the booking voucher is for illustrative purposes only.
The rental provider undertakes to supply a car from the same or an equivalent car category, subject to availability.
The company does not guarantee a specific model, manufacturer, color, interior equipment, multimedia system, or any other particular features of the car.
6. Vehicle Pickup and Return
It is the customer's responsibility to arrive at the pickup location at the time specified in the booking.
Arriving late may be considered a "no-show," which could result in the cancellation of the booking and charges in accordance with the rental provider's policy.
Upon receiving the vehicle, it is recommended to inspect its condition, take photographs, and ensure that any existing damage is documented in the rental agreement.
When returning the vehicle, the customer is responsible for ensuring it is returned in accordance with the rental terms—including the status of the fuel or battery, cleanliness, and any accompanying equipment.
The rental provider reserves the right to charge for:
- Late return
- Excessive cleaning required
- Smoking in the vehicle
- Insufficient fuel
- Insufficient charge (electric vehicle)
- Loss of keys
- Damage or malfunctions occurring during the rental period
7. Additional Drivers and Age Restrictions
Age and driving experience requirements vary depending on the rental provider, the country, and the vehicle category.
Young or senior drivers may be subject to an additional charge, in accordance with the rental provider's policy.
Only drivers registered in the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle.
8. Crossing Borders
Crossing international borders with the vehicle is subject to the rental provider's approval and the rental terms and conditions.
Restrictions, surcharges, insurance extensions, or additional fees may apply when crossing borders.
It is the customer's responsibility to provide advance notice of any intention to cross between countries.
9. Insurance and Full Coverage
The insurance coverage included in a booking is determined by the rental provider, the country, and the terms of the booking.
It is the customer's responsibility to review the insurance terms, exclusions, the deductible amount, and the conditions of coverage.
The company offers a "Full Coverage" option, which includes reimbursement of the deductible in the event of damage or theft, along with additional extensions or benefits, depending on the specific plan purchased.
The scope of coverage, exclusions, and terms for exercising the "Full Coverage" option will be presented at the time of booking and constitute an integral part of the agreement.
10. Malfunctions, Damages, and Accidents
In the event of a breakdown, accident, theft, damage, or any unusual incident, the customer must follow the rental provider’s instructions and notify them immediately.
In certain cases, the customer may also be required to file a report with the local police.
Failure to report the incident or to comply with the rental provider’s procedures may result in the forfeiture of insurance coverage and full liability for the damages.
11. Booking Cancellation and Changes
Cancellation or modification of a booking is subject to the cancellation terms specified on the website, in the booking voucher, and in the supplier's terms and conditions.
Once the rental voucher has been issued, cancellation fees may apply, depending on the timing of the cancellation and the terms of the booking.
Failure to arrive at the pickup location without prior notice may be considered a "no-show," potentially resulting in a full or partial charge.
12. Add-ons and Additional Services
Additional equipment and special services, such as:
- Child car seat
- Additional driver
- Navigation system
- Winter package
- Snow equipment
- Toll road services
- Insurance extensions
May be subject to an additional charge, which will be collected directly by the rental provider.
13. Limited Liability
The Company acts solely as an intermediary and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or services of the rental provider.
The Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, financial loss, loss of time, distress, travel expenses, missed flights, accommodation costs, loss of income, or any other damage related to the rental services.
In any event, the Company’s maximum financial liability, should it arise, shall not exceed the booking amount actually paid by the customer.
The Company will make every effort to address any issue with the rental provider to the customer’s satisfaction.
14. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, disruptions, or an inability to provide service due to events beyond its control, including:
- War
- State of emergency
- Strikes
- Extreme weather
- Pandemics
- Communication failures
- Cyberattacks
- Decisions by authorities
- Actions by suppliers or third parties
15. Privacy and Data Security
Use of the website and the services is also subject to the Company's Privacy Policy.
